DEEPFREEZE SOFTWARE DESCRIPTION Faronics’ Deepfreeze is an application that solves a unique problem facing many businesses today. this prevents an end user from making permanent changes to important system/administrative files. The way he accomplishes this feat is truly unique. Important system/administrative files will leave what is called kernel level information on your hard drive. This is what makes these settings permanent. When your PC’s hard drive reboots, it sees these embedded kernel-level files and doesn’t allow them the privilege to load, because Deepfreeze just deletes them on reboot! When you first set up Deepfreeze, it tells you what system/administrative settings you want to keep, as is. After that, the software makes sure that everything else is removed on startup. It’s like having the hard drive in a freezer overnight, so to speak.
