Ghost Commander is a two-pane file manager for the Android platform. Its development was inspired by the famous Commander desktop applications (Norton Midnight Total), so if you are familiar with these excellent programs, you will find Ghost Commander a familiar and very practical environment. As said above, it has two separate panes, both capable of displaying files from different locations. What brings you? For example, when you need to copy files from one folder to another, simply select the files in one pane and the destination in the other, then press the 5 key (either on the physical keyboard or on the toolbar). That’s it. No need to go through tedious steps like copying files to the clipboard, navigating to where you want to copy them, pasting them, and then back. Feature List Browse the local file system. Easily navigate through the folder tree. Save shortcuts to frequently visited folders in the favorites list (and also as icons on the system desktop). Copy/move/delete/rename files and folders, create new folders. Launch a file with a suitable application (for example, launch an .apk file to install an application). Open a text file for editing, create new text files. Open a zip file as a folder – copy (extract) files from it. Create a new zip file, add new files to an existing archive, delete files in an archive. Find files by name mask on the local file system. Calculate occupied size of files and folders, sort folders by size. Connect to an FTP site, upload/download files and folders. (Active and passive modes are supported.) Open a Windows network share folder (Samba protocol). Copy files/folders to and from. (With a plugin). Customize appearance: enable/disable file icons, manage row size, foreground and background colors, tool buttons. Work in root: mode to the file system on a rooted device.
