GMX Mail is a free German-based webmail service provided by GMX (Global Mail Exchange). In addition to an email address, each GMX account includes a mail collector, address book, organizer, and file storage. A user can save up to 10 individual GMX email addresses in a single account.
The app comes with 5 GB of email storage, 2 GB of file storage, file sharing capabilities, and virus and spam protection. The ability to drag and drop for files and emails is also used. Other features include a push mail service to feed other third-party addresses (eg Gmail) into the GMX inbox, an address book, and black and white list functions. The service supports POP3, SMTP, and IMAP protocols, as well as mobile device integration. The service also provides a calendar function and the ability to log in directly to Facebook using a registered GMX ID and password. Email accounts can be registered with a choice of .com, .co.uk and .us among many others.
