What is Obkio ?
Obkio is a comprehensive network monitoring software that helps businesses monitor their network performance, providing convenient tools for IT professionals to troubleshoot individual issues. It allows companies to monitor their network by deploying software at each location on the network. Users can even monitor sessions between agents and receive notifications if anything unusual happens. Obkio provides an easy way to monitor networks. Users only need to copy and paste a single command line into a virtual machine or enter the hardware agent serial number to install the software. Obkio is a simple network performance monitoring solution that allows users to continuously monitor the status of their network and core business applications to improve the end user experience. Developed in February 2018, Obkio’s software application is designed to monitor the performance of network and web applications. The innovative software application identifies the causes of intermittent VoIP, video, and application slowdowns in seconds, because nothing is more frustrating than wasting time due to a poor connection. Easily identify the source of a system failure so you can quickly apply corrective action to the root cause, before it affects your end users. Obkio’s solution is to deploy physical agents or network performance monitoring software at strategic locations in a company’s offices or network destinations, such as data sites, remote sites, external customer sites, or public or private clouds. Once the agents are deployed, they exchange synthetic traffic with each other every 500ms to continuously test and monitor network performance. Although this may sound like a lot, it is a very small volume of traffic generating only a few kbps per session. Obkio continuously tests and measures different operational parameters based on network metrics, such as latency, jitter, packet loss, quality of service and customer experience through QoE (Quality of Experience) and performs periodic speed tests to verify if the data available match well with what should be offered by service providers. Obkio’s app includes a stylish and personalized dashboard that allows users to have real-time access to the health status of network performance. Check the performance between your offices and your data centers in real time, right from your dashboard. The app alerts you as soon as a problem occurs or even if there are signs that an outage is about to occur.
